Candied Nuts Keto Style!

Today is day 4 of celebrating Anita's birthday and one of her gifts was me making KETO candied walnuts and pecans! You get to enjoy them too should you decide to take on the mission! Here is the list of what you'll need:


1) 1 cup monk fruit (or regular sugar if you're not doing Keto)

2) 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

3) 1 teaspoon salt

4) 1 egg white

5) 1 tablespoon water

6) 1/2 pound of walnuts

7) 1/2 pound of pecan halves

1) Mix the monk fruit (or sugar), cinnamon and salt in a bowl, then set aside.

2) Whisk the egg and water together in another bowl until it's frothy (this will take only a few seconds), then set aside.

3) Pour the egg and water mixture into your bowl of nuts and mix with a whisk, spoon or spatula. I personally prefer a whisk. Make sure all the nuts are well coated.

4) Mix the sugar mixture into the bowl of nuts, making sure all the nuts are well coated.

5) Put parchment paper on a baking sheet and spread the nuts evenly. Try and make it a single layer as much as possible.

6) Preheat oven to 250 and bake them in 15 minute increments at a time, stirring them before putting them in for another 15 minutes. Do the 15 minute increments up to 4 times depending on how crunchy you want the nuts. I only do 2 increments and they turn out perfect for Anita's taste.
